Wise House

Without sacrificing the character and integrity of the original design, this midcentury modern home is infused with a warm, rich, and contemporary material palette, and updated with high performance exterior assemblies.

  • This project was the a renovation of a mid century home designed by Charles Frederick Wise in 1959. Windows and roof were replaced with high performance assemblies, and new cedar cladding was installed on all exterior soffits as well as on the ceiling of the main living space. A bearing wall was removed to open and rethink a previously dark and enclosed kitchen. Fit and finishes were redesigned throughout the 4200 sf space.
